Recycling

Recycling at the Cambridge Folk Festival was introduced approximately 12 years ago. Currently the festival provides opportunities for recycling of paper, cardboard, cans, plastic, glass and waste oil. Catering outlets on site use biodegradable trays and wooden cutlery rather than plastic. Everyone who comes to the Festival is given a recycling bag on the way in and there are copious bins separating the waste into cans, plastics, glass and paper across the site. Reducing the impact of the festival on the environment is very important to us and we are proud to say that a massive 33% of all waste generated at the festival is now recycled. So now we’re aiming for even more.

Recycle at home, recycle at the festival!
