JOAN ARMATRADING

Three-times Grammy nominated and twice Brit nominated, singer, writer and guitarist Joan Armatrading is the first female UK artist to debut at No1 in the Billboard Blues charts. In 2008 she also became the first female UK artist to be nominated for a Grammy in a blues category, short-listed for her nineteenth album, Into The Blues. While perhaps best known for hits such as Love And Affection, Drop The Pilot and Me Myself I, she has received widespread and consistent critical acclaim throughout her eclectic career, taking in everything from blues and soul, to pop and rock.
